Andrea Iannone ruled out of Spanish GP

Andrea Iannone will not take part in this afternoon's MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix after injuring his ankle in a crash during FP4 on Saturday.  The Aprilia rider suffered a fast crash at the right-hander of the Criville corner of Turn 11 during the final practice ahead of qualifying, and had to be carried of circuit by marshals on a stretcher.  Iannone first returned to his Aprilia garage, but had to be helped out by his team and was taken to the medical centre for checks.  He underwent an X-ray at the circuit medical centre, which revealed no broken bones in his ankle.
