MotoGP Qatar: We are taking risks that are not necessary – Marquez

MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez said that Race Direction is taking unnecessary risks by not moving the start time of the race forwards from 20:00 to 19:00. The World Champion crashed twice on Saturday before seeing his teammate already beaten up teammate crash out of Q1 at the precarious turn two. Last night the safety commission met to discuss the prospect of moving the start time forwards as they did in 2018, but the decision was made to keep it at 20:00 as originally planned, just when the dew point starts to come down. “We already pushed a lot yesterday, nearly all the riders, to change the start time because we are taking a risk that is not necessary,” said the MotoGP World...
