MotoGP Qatar: Front tyre issues cost Rossi in FP2

Front tyre issues cost Monster Yamaha factory rider Valentino Rossi on the opening day of the MotoGP season, leaving the Italian languishing down in seventeenth position after topping the first session of 2019 in Qatar. The Italian topped the daylight FP1 session from HRC’s Jorge Lorenzo, however, all went pear shaped for ‘The Doctor’ when he failed to crack the top ten, finishing the second session of the day 1.757 seconds off the pace. After the session Rossi suggested that a front tyre issue was the reason behind his disappointing session. “It was strange.
