Incoming Suzuki MotoGP rider Joan Mir underwent his first test on the GSX-RR at a private outing at Motegi following the Malaysian Grand Prix, according to team boss Davide Brivio. 2017 Moto3 world champion Mir will step up to the premier class with Suzuki next year having spent just one season in Moto2, and will make his official debut on Tuesday at the post-Valencia GP test.  In preparation for this, Mir travelled to Motegi following the Sepang race at the start of the month to join test rider Sylvain Guintoli at a private outing on the GSX-RR.
