MotoGP Valencia: Miller chases Marquez in wet first session

Pramac Ducati's Jack Miller and team-mate Danilo Petrucci kept reigning MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez honest in the opening free practice session at a soaking wet Valencia this morning. The first piece of track action was delayed due to standing water which very nearly caught out Maverick Vinales before race direction deemed it too dangerous to continue and brought out the red flags after just eight minutes. When Loris Capirossi has finished cocking about in the M3CS safety car, Marquez opened his account at the top of the timesheet with a 1'43.070 with Miller and Petrucci in close attendance.
