MotoGP Germany: Binder wins maiden Moto2 Grand Prix

Brad Binder claimed his first ever Moto2 win holding off Joan Mir and Luca Marini around the Sachsenring. Fresh off the back of a contract extension with his Red Bull Ajo KTM team, Binder started from the head of the fourth row and topping the mornings warm up session he quickly worked his way forwards to join Mir and Marini in a breakaway group. Taking the lead with 10 laps to go, sliding under Mir, Binder never surrendered or ever looked like he was going to lose the lead and he eventually held on to the win by 0.779 seconds.
