Franco Morbidelli declared fit to race in Germany

Marc VDS rider Franco Morbidelli has been declared fit to take part in this weekend's MotoGP German Grand Prix after suffering a fractured hand during practice for the Dutch TT. Morbidelli crashed going through the fast left-hand kink at the Ruskenhoek during third practice for the Dutch TT at Assen two weeks ago.  The Italian was taken to the circuit medical centre for checks, which revealed he had suffered a fracture to the third metacarpal on his left hand.  Morbidelli was forced to miss the remainder of the Dutch weekend, and would undergo further checks at the Sachsenring on Thursday afternoon to assess his condition.
