Rossi: Yamaha needs to make 2008-like leap forward

Valentino Rossi has called on Yamaha to make a leap forward similar to the one it managed in 2008 amid its current MotoGP difficulties. Yamaha is in the midst of a 15-race losing streak, its last victory coming at Assen last year, as its struggles to make the M1 bike competitive in low-grip conditions continue.  Rossi lies fourth in the points after the opening five races of 2018, two points behind Johann Zarco aboard the Tech 3 Yamaha, with third-place finishes in Qatar and at Le Mans.
