Jakub Kornfeil explains 'crazy' 9.7-metre Le Mans race jump

Prustel GP KTM Moto3 rider Jakub Kornfeil says he jumped 9.7 metres in the air when he hit Enea Bastianini's stricken Honda in the closing stages of Sunday's French Grand Prix. Kornfeil was running in the lead group when Leopard rider Bastianini crashed in front of him at the final corner on the penultimate lap. The Czech rider had no where to go and ran over Bastianini's bike, launching almost 10 metres in the air before landing and carrying on to finish sixth. In an interview with motogp.com, Kornfeil says his only thought was to “open the gas and try to survive”, while revealing the impact with Bastianini's bike set off the airbag in his leathers....
