Cal Crutchlow escapes “major injury” in monster qualifying crash

LCR Honda has confirmed Cal Crutchlow suffered no “major injuries” in his monster highside crash during MotoGP qualifying in France, but his participation in Sunday's race is yet to be decided. Crutchlow was ejected from his RC213V as he wound up the throttle to exit the left-hander of Garage Vert in the closing stages of the opening qualifying session. The session was red-flagged while the Briton was attended to by circuit medical staff, before being stretchered off track and taken to the medical centre, subsequently being transferred to the Centre Hospitalier du Mans.
