MotoGP riders offered differing views on the potential to race in the rain in Qatar following wet test

Opinions regarding riding on a wet Losail Circuit were mixed following a short test on an artificially soaked track at the end of Saturday's MotoGP test in Qatar. In a bid to understand whether holding a race under the floodlights in the wet would be possible, the final hour of the Qatar test was reserved for the riders to assess the track in such conditions. One of the biggest concerns about a potential wet Qatar Grand Prix was the visibility under the lights.This led the 2009 race being postponed to the Monday following a heavy downpour during the sighting lap.
