Reigning MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez had no intention of backing off on his 25th birthday, instead putting in 97 Saturday laps in the gruelling Buriram heat. His reward was to finish top of the timesheets after snatching the top spot from team-mate Dani Pedrosa by 0.158s with the first sub-1m 30s lap of the Chang International Circuit, in the closing stages of MotoGP's second day of testing in Thailand.
