Siméon signs for Avintia, completes '18 grid
– Moto2 race winner Xavier Siméon will make the step up to MotoGP next season, joining Avintia on a two-year deal, in a move that completes the 2018 grid.Belgian racer Siméon, 28, is contesting his eighth Moto2 campaign, with two pole positions, four podium finishes and one victory on his CV.Simeon takes Héctor Barberá's place at Avintia, following the Spaniard's return to the Moto2 class with Pons, and will team up with Tito Rabat, who will switch from Marc VDS."It's a fantastic opportunity and I've been working hard to get it for many years," said Siméon."I'm so happy to make this dream a reality; a dream I've been pursuing since I was a child.
