Aprilia backs outgoing Sam Lowes to 'express his talent'
Aprilia has backed Sam Lowes to “express his talent” in motorcycle racing despite opting not to retain the Briton's services for 2018. Aprilia signed Lowes on a three-year contract for 2016, 2017 and 2018, in which he spent the first season competing in Moto2 before graduating to the premier class this season. However, Lowes has finished in the points just once, courtesy of placing 14th at the French Grand Prix, prompting speculation that he would be replaced for 2018.
