Viñales perplexed by Barcelona pace deficit

– Championship leader Maverick Viñales described his lack of pace during practice for the Catalan Grand Prix as "very strange" after he slumped to 16th overall on Friday.Viñales enters his home race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with a 26-point lead in the standings, having won three of the six Grands Prix, and finished runner-up at Mugello last weekend.However, having been sixth in an unrepresentative wet/dry FP1 session, Viñales finished only 16th in FP2, over 1.5s slower than pace setter Marc Márquez."This morning I was feeling OK, the bike was working good," he explained."We went out on Soft tyres and the bike was behaving really well.
