Doctors give Valentino Rossi green light for Mugello weekend

Valentino Rossi has been given the green light to participate in this weekend's Italian Grand Prix, following a medical check-up at Mugello on Thursday. Rossi sustained mild thoracic and abdominal trauma as the result of a motocross training accident last week, and spent the night in hospital for observations. Rossi revealed on Wednesday that he was still suffering from 'severe' pain and required medical clearance in order to be passed fit to race in front of his home fans. Yamaha confirmed that FIM Medical Director, Dr Giancarlo Di Filippo, the Chief Medical Officer of the Mugello Circuit, Dr Remo Barbagli and the MotoGP Medical Director, Dr Angel Charte, all approved...
