Miller tops damp first practice session

– Marc VDS rider Jack Miller topped an initially damp first practice session for the French Grand Prix, which dried up enough for some late slick running.Overnight rainfall ensured a largely wet start to Friday's first session at Le Mans, but conditions gradually improved, and the track surface dried.As riders switched to slick tyres in the final 10 minutes, Miller vaulted to the front with a time of 1:37.467, over a second quicker than anyone else.Marc Márquez finished closest to Miller, the Honda rider 1.2 seconds behind, with Johann Zarco, fresh from extending his Tech 3 contract, half a second further back in third.LCR Honda's Cal Crutchlow was the final rider under the 1m40s...
