Final day of Jerez MotoGP test hit by poor weather

Ducati tester Michele Pirro concluded a low-key final MotoGP test day at Jerez on top of the timesheets, as bad weather at the Spanish track rendered Friday's running largely meaningless. Only four MotoGP riders - all testers - set times, with Pirro leading the way with a best time of 1m51.651s, some 1.975s up on Suzuki's Takuya Tsuda, who has stood in for the injured Alex Rins this week. Mika Kallio (KTM) and Hiroshi Aoyama (Honda) completed the times, both over two seconds adrift of Pirro, with the satellite Ducati teams as well as Aprilia having all completed their test programmes on Thursday.
