MotoGP to race at Sepang until at least 2021

MotoGP has announced that it will race at the Sepang International Circuit until at least 2021 after agreeing a contract extension. Organisers Dorna Sports and the Sepang track have signed a contract renewal for the next five years, securing the future of the Malaysian Grand Prix. The news was announced following qualifying for this weekend’s Malaysian GP at the Sepang circuit, with Andrea Dovizioso securing pole position. Malaysia hosted its first race in 1991 at the Shah Alam circuit, before it moved to Sepang for the 1999 season and has remained on the calendar ever since.
