Malaysian MotoGP: Dovizioso snatches surprise pole for Ducati

Andrea Dovizioso grabbed a surprise pole for Ducati during a wet qualifying session at Sepang, the Italian beating the factory Yamaha duo of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo. With rain hitting the Malaysian circuit just prior to the start of Q2, the pole position shootout was to take place in full wet conditions, and it was Dovizioso who was by far quickest on the initial runs. The Ducati man posted a time of 2m11.511s to establish a mammoth 1.5s advantage over closest rival Rossi, a time that would have been good enough for pole position. But, once the chequered flag had fallen, Dovizioso improved to a 2m11.485s to seal his second pole of the year and the third for his Ducati team. Yamaha...
