Barberá replaces Iannone, Jones to debut
– Héctor Barberá will make his debut with the factory Ducati squad at this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix, after the team ultimately elected to replace the injured Andrea Iannone.Iannone sustained a back injury when he fell during practice at Mugello but, having fielded Michele Pirro at Aragón, Ducati opted against a replacement rider for Motegi.However, it has now decided to promote Barberá, who has ridden for Ducati's satellite team Avintia since 2014, and previously used Ducati machinery while competing for Aspar and Pramac between 2010 and 2012.Barberá currently occupies 10th position in the standings, having finished in the points in 13 of the 14 Grands Prix this season,...
