Petrucci set to sign '21 KTM MotoGP deal

Danilo Petrucci looks set to join the factory KTM MotoGP outfit on a one-year deal for 2021, according to German publication Speedweek. The Italian confirmed earlier this month that he would leave current employers Ducati following the manufacturer’s decision to replace him with Pramac racer Jack Miller for ’21, with Andrea Dovizioso set to stay in the other seat. Having earmarked both KTM and Aprilia as potential landing pads shortly after, Petrucci and manager Alberto Vergani recently visited the KTM factory in Austria with a view to securing the Honda-bound Pol Espargaro’s vacant ride.
