Marc Marquez: '2019 Jorge Lorenzo not the reality'

Marc Marquez refuses to remember out-going team-mate Jorge Lorenzo for his tough MotoGP swansong campaign this year, in which he scored just 28 points compared to Marquez’s 420. Lorenzo struggled to mould his smooth riding style to the buckaroo-style aggressive nature of the ’19 spec RC213-V, culminating in a best result of 11th at Le Mans and a near-career ending injury when he fractured his T6 and T8 vertebrae in a violent Assen crash. Marquez meanwhile went on to notch up 12 victories and a record for all-time points scored across a premier class motorcycle racing season on his way to his sixth MotoGP title in seven years.
